Governance
The Passaic Public Library is governed by the Library Laws of New Jersey as set forth by the New Jersey State Legislature and detailed in Title 40 Chapter 54 of the NJSA code.
State Aid Funding for the library falls primarliy under Title 18A Chapter 74 and the New Jersey Administrative Code Regulation Title 15 Chapter 21
New Jersey Library laws and code regulations governing the Library Staff and Employees can be found under NJSA Title 45 Chapter 8A and the NJAC Title 6 Chapter 11. The Staff of the Passaic Public Library are members of the Local 404 United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers of America Union
